Sharing an old poetry.

Pic ctsy: My daughter Riya

Hello friends, today while going through the old documents, my husband found a piece of paper and handed it over to me. I instantly recognised the scribble and took it with a gleeful smile. So many sweet memories of the days bygone came flooding through me. They had practically gone dormant by the onslaught of various duties of a wife, mother and a homemaker. I thought, it’s better to share it with you. So here it is!!

An Enigma

Yet to know dear, what I actually feel for you.

The incessant waves of an enigma, overwhelming the beach of my heart.

You are mine – for my possessive senses, immensely pleasing thought.

I’m so important to you – make my heart swell with pride.

Even a baseless intuition of your diverted attention, prick my heart with thousand prongs.

Your mention of leaving me, even in jest, turn my soul dreadfully chilled.

I pray to God, nobody on this earth can snatch you away from me.

And keep you beside me, as long as I breathe.

Hope you would like the feelings of a young heart. I wish you all a very happy weekend.

Adieu for now.
