The Train of Thoughts

We have only to think correctly, and everything will immediately become heaven. Hell will become heaven, provided our thinking is set right. – Swami Krishnananda.

Hello friends, hope you all are doing well. Today we will delve into the realm of our thought process. The triggers to our train of thoughts and how our actions are guided by these moorings of the brain. It’s true that the brain is the seat of all of our thoughts but does it the sole influencer, probably not. There is always an inner consciousness, our soul which starts the dialogue with our mind and their joint deliberation, givie birth to our thoughts. That may be the reason behind our thinking getting dishevelled sometimes by potential wrangling between the two and we, finding ourselves in the crosshair, become the confused and agitated victim.

A lot depends on greater coordination between our mind and the inner soul to maintain our sanity and balanced emotions. We have to become a mediator, a peacemaker to establish an equilibrium between the two and see all the things from the right perspective and decide our next course of action. The haphazard unstable thoughts are the surest recipe for disaster, reduceing us into nervous and depressed wrecks. A lot depends on who’s in command, steering the wheel of our thoughts towards happiness or the abyss of anxiety.

The last two years was like a test by fire for the faculty of all, irrespective of nationality. Do we succeed to emerge unscathed? Our mental health had to undergo severe bouts of anxious thoughts and consternation for well being of our near and dear ones. I elaborated my inner turmoil and struggles in The Transformation.

I must tell you about an incident, during our morning tea today. Suddenly, I realised that my hubby was looking at me intently. On eye contact, he asked me, what was going on in my mind that I looked miles away from the present. Getting embarrassed, I realised that I was actually lost in the world of myriad thoughts, My mind was on a thought voyage, delinked for some moments from the current surrounding as if dreaming with an open eye. Do you have similar experience, when your attention is taken for a ride by your own runaway thoughts?

So friends, as much less complex and evolved could keep our thought process, more we would feel relaxed and happy. Whenever realise that the thoughts are digressing towards the unchartered and complicated territory, try your level best to steer it back. Because it is the right thinking which helps us to make good decisions in life.

If you look around, you can see, what a single person’s thoughts and decisions can create havoc and destruction to so many innocent people. Let’s all pray that sanity prevails at last and humanity is saved from the man created disaster.

Wishing for peace and prosperity to all. Stay happy and safe.

  1. Wonderful post 😌
Thank you so much for the insightful thoughts you have shared for us.
Swami Krishnananda has enlightened the mankind by his simplified Texts on Advaita Vedanta.
Most of my books on Upanishads are by Swami Krishnananda Ji.
    His bhasyas are easily graspable.
Thanks again for sharing this philosophical post.
    Regards πŸ™ 😊
